The unemployment rate in Washington State as of September 2011 was 9.1%, and while this is slightly lower than the national average, there are still a great number of people going hungry. You can help! On Saturday, February 25th, the Saturday before the MVP Summit, GeekGive is organizing volunteers to work with Northwest Harvest in the Seattle Area. Join MVPs from around the world in this unique opportunity to give back to the community, network with your peers, and enjoy the Seattle area a bit more.

Who can participate?:

Anyone! You don't have to be an MVP or even a geek.

Sponsors:

A big thanks to the Microsoft MVP Award Program for sponsoring this event!

Job Site

We will be working at the Northwest Harvest warehouse in Kent, WA.

The warehouse address is:
22220 68th Avenue South (a/k/a West Valley Hwy)
Kent, WA 98032-1915

Volunteers must wear close-toe, flat shoes; no sandals or high heels for safety. Please wear comfortable, casual clothing and dress in layers as the building can be warm or chilly!

Please do not come if you are sick; the safety and wholesomeness of the food is always a primary concern.
